I’m an accredited Senior Practitioner and Coaching Supervisor with The European Mentoring and Coaching Council, and I have been coaching leaders for 15 years. I work with clients one to one and also run workshops focusing on Women and Leadership and Communication.
I really enjoy the intellectual stimulation of working within a wide range of sectors with interesting clients and I am continually curious to expand and deepen my knowledge and build on my experience.
The recent creation of the Wordwise Podcast was driven by a desire to share my experience and passion for the work that I do with a wider audience.
Coaching to me is also a highly creative process. Finding out what works best for each individual is always an interesting voyage of discovery. I build strong collaborative relationships with organisations to ensure I fully understand their aims and challenges and provide a bespoke solution.
I have extensive experience of coaching leaders across the business and not for profit. My clients range from CEOs to high potential leaders often at a transition point in their careers. I am able to rapidly establish rapport and trust ensuring that clients feel understood and supported. My insight, pragmatism and focus on results enables clients to rise to the demands of their leadership roles, seize opportunities and fulfil their potential.
I have always been a keen observer of people, behaviour, patterns and language.
Studying Russian at university allowed me to indulge in my love of language. It also gave me an opportunity to spend time in the Soviet Union which was a fascinating experience.
After University I began a career in television, producing and directing documentaries and factual programmes.
Working in TV allowed me to explore areas of interest - to build relationships and observe a vast array of situations, places and behaviours. It fed my fascination with human nature and gave me experience as a leader in a fast paced, demanding environment.
In my thirties I realised that I wanted to make changes and needed help to navigate a difficult period and career transition so started therapy. This was the best investment I have ever made, it deepened my understanding of myself and human nature more broadly - it was transformative for me.
Having the space and support to acknowledge and understand challenges I had faced in life and how they had impacted and influenced me unlocked me to live a whole life and to seek work that would feel more authentic and fulfilling.
My interests, innate skills, training and life experience have led me to a place where I am able to coach clients to attain goals that may feel out of reach.
I rapidly assess their needs and strengths and identify blockers that may be standing in their way. I create an environment that enables them to gain clarity and unlock their potential.
I feel I can have a tangible impact on their present and future and I find that hugely fulfilling.
